Job summary

Zeus Industrial Products is seeking manufacturing staff to process polymer tubing with a focus on accuracy and safety. You will coil, cut, inspect, bag, label, and prepare orders, while maintaining clean and safe work practices.

The role requires following procedures, using PPE, and performing routine equipment setup for heat shrink tubing. Applicants should be able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Coil input tubing; clamp, tape, cut, inspect, bag, tag and prepare orders for shipping.
• Pack heat shrink dies and set up equipment to meet tubing specs.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and keep the work area clean and safe.
• Observe all safety rules; perform occasional utility tasks and other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Expands, cuts, inspects, bags, and tags FEP, PFA, and other plastic tubing.

Responsibilities

• Some coiling of input.
• Clamping, taping, cutting, inspecting, bagging, tagging, and straightening of tubing; labeling and preparing orders for shipping.
• Packing heat shrink dies in oven; setting up heat shrink equipment to produce proper specs on tubing for order.
• Keep accurate records-paperwork
• Keep a clean, safe workplace.
• Observe all safety rules and regulations.
• Occasional utility work.
• The shrinking of tubing over customer supplied mandrels

Qualifications

• Lifting: Up to 40 pounds periodically to a height of 36"
• Reaching: Work level (36").
• Clothing: Zeus uniform after probationary period
• Solvents: Naphtha, acetone, alcohol in area; safety equipment and rules must be used.
• Standing/ Within a 30 foot by 36" area. Very little time to sit down.
• Walking: Constant, some stationary standing.
• Writing: Legible writing is a must using pens, to constantly fill in worksheet data.
• Safety Equipment: Heat gloves, safety glasses, and protective gear when needed.
• Cleaning: Using brooms, mops, rags all-purpose cleaners to keep entire area clean as required.
• The employee must have the ability to perform inspection functions such as visual inspections to detect cosmetic defects and color differentiation of products
• A thorough knowledge of standard and good sense practices is a must. Ability to carry out oral and written instructions along with the ability to adapt to different situations. Physical condition demands being able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Any combination of experience that enables a person to make sound judgments and decisions.
• Basic mathematics knowledge is helpful.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. Any unscheduled absence or tardy will have a negative impact on our ability to meet our production objectives.
