Job summary

Sealed Air is seeking a dependable Converting Operator for the night shift in its California manufacturing facility. You will set up, operate and monitor converting equipment, ensuring quality and timely production while maintaining a safe workplace.

The role requires 1 year of machine operator experience, ability to read technical documents, and strong problem-solving and teamwork skills. Flexibility for overtime and different shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience as a machine operator.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents, safety rules, and work orders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety and product quality.
• Good organizational, basic math, and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and punctual, with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate & Monitor Equipment: Set up and operate converting machinery according to production schedules, work orders, and equipment specifications.
• Ensure Product Quality: Monitor production output and follow established quality control standards to ensure products meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot & Resolve Issues: Recognize equipment or production issues and use sound judgment and problem-solving skills to support efficient operations.
• Support Production Goals: Follow production schedules, accurately record production data, and complete all required documentation.
• Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Follow company safety policies and procedures and consistently wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow Established Procedures: Read and follow work orders, technical documents, safety rules, and applicable operating instructions.
• Demonstrate Accountability: Maintain dependable attendance, punctuality, and a professional approach to daily responsibilities.
• Work as a Team: Collaborate with coworkers, contribute to a positive work environment, and remain open to learning new skills.
