Job summary

Boar's Head Brand seeks a dependable operator to run the Automated Case Packer (JLS Osprey or Spark). Learn to set up the machine for different products and monitor the line from the infeed to packaging.

You will troubleshoot with maintenance, inspect equipment at shift start, and keep the work area clean. You will check sell-by dates, lot numbers, and communicate changes with fellow line workers.

Qualifications

• Education sufficient to understand basic instructions.
• Must be able to read written instructions, policies and procedures, etc.

Responsibilities

• Learn and set machine up to accommodate product being ran.
• Monitor flow of product and boxes on the line and through the machine.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and communicate with maintenance, lead, supervisor and manager.
• Inspect machine at shift start and throughout the day; report on line inspection sheet.
• Use air hose to remove debris and box dust.
• Check sell by date, lot number and time; ensure packaging appearance.
• Set up Matrix System for line runs.
• Communicate product changeovers with fellow line workers.
• Maintain a clean, neat work environment.

Run the Automated Case Packer (JLS Osprey or Spark).

• Must learn and be able to set machine up to accommodate product being ran.
• Must constantly monitor the flow of product and boxes running down the line and through the machine.
• Must be able to troubleshoot issues with the machine and communicate any issues with maintenance as well as the lead, supervisor and manager.
• Must inspect machine at shift start and throughout the days run for all parts, and report on line inspection sheet that all rings are accounted for.
• Must use air hose to free the machine of debris and box dust.
• Continue to check product for correct sell by date, lot number and time, and overall acceptable appearance, shape, and packaging of product being ran.
• Must be able to set up Matrix System to accommodate product being ran on line.
• Must keep up with the run of Old Country, and communicate product changeover with the fellow line workers.
• Must maintain a clean, neat work environment.
