Job summary

Valgroup in Findlay, Ohio, is hiring an Operator Assistant to support our manufacturing facility during the day shift (2-2-3: 7:30am–7:30pm) in the Specialty Films department. The role offers training to become a Skilled Machine Operator and opportunities to work on multiple projects.

Primary duties include pulling and weighing film rolls, cutting cores, moving resin, and assisting line start-up. Forklift operation may be learned, with room for advancement and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Mechanical ability and problem solving are essential.
• Safe work behaviors and attention to detail are required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.
• HS Diploma or GED preferred as minimum education.

Responsibilities

• Day Shift- 2-2-3 (7:30am-7:30pm)
• Department: Specialty Films
• This shift allows multiple weekdays and every other weekend off
• Train to become a Skilled Machine Operator
• Pull and weigh film rolls, cut cores, move resin
• Assist line start-up
• Learn to Operate Forklift
• Assist other projects and work as needed
