Job summary

Silgan Plastic Food Containers is seeking an Operator Assistant to package WIP and finished products on production lines. The role includes running the scoring machine, reporting non-conformances, and reworking nonconforming items according to work instructions.

• Packages WIP and finished product from RTF and/or Printing lines

• Reworks nonconforming product in accordance with documented work instructions
• Works 12 hour shifts standing on concrete
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Go up steps periodically throughout the day
• Work in the heat
• Performs other designated duties as assigned
• Conducts duties according to plant safety policies and procedures

Education

Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience

Required: Successful completion of all training modules for Operator Assistant position.
