Job summary

Aspire Bakeries LLC seeks an Operator 3, Bakery - Relief at the Swedesboro, NJ bakery. You will ensure critical production line coverage, support multiple processes, and uphold product quality, safety, and efficiency on the line.

Responsibilities include collaborating with team members, following SOPs, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives while meeting safety standards and quality expectations. This role is at our Swedesboro facility with first shift hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic dough mixing knowledge and equipment operation.
• Ability to read scale measurements and temperature readings.
• Basic math skills and accurate documentation of production data.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs (100 lbs with assistance).

Responsibilities

• Ensure production line coverage across bakery operations to maintain uninterrupted production.
• Operate and support multiple production processes while preserving product quality.
• Follow SOPs, equipment guidelines, and workplace practices.
• Collaborate with Operators and Leads to optimize line performance and efficiency.
• Identify issues and support waste reduction and productivity improvements.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain GMP, food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.

About the Role

We are seeking an Operator 3, Bakery - Relief to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an Operator 3, Bakery - Relief, you will be accountable for ensuring critical production line positions are properly supported and covered across bakery operations. This role plays a vital part in maintaining product quality, operational efficiency, food safety compliance, and continuous production flow.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 1st Shift
• Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Weekend Availability: As needed based on business requirements

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $25.00 - $26.00

Core Accountabilities (What You'll be Doing)

• Ensure production line coverage across key bakery operations to maintain uninterrupted production.
• Operate and support multiple production processes while ensuring product quality and consistency.
• Follow standard operating procedures, equipment guidelines, and established work practices.
• Collaborate with Operators, Leads, and team members to optimize line performance and efficiency.
• Identify operational issues and support waste reduction and productivity improvement efforts.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum six (6) months of experience as an Ingredient Operator or in a related production role.
• Basic knowledge of dough mixing processes and production equipment operation.
• Ability to read and interpret scale measurements and temperature readings.
• Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to accurately document production, process, and ingredient information.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing or production environment.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and methodologies, including Centerline and CIL.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience using computer systems and production interfaces.
