Aspire Bakeries LLC in Alsip, IL is seeking a Utility Operator for 1st shift, 5:45 AM - 4:15 PM. You will support multiple production and packaging areas, ensuring safe and compliant manufacturing while maintaining quality standards and food safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support across production and packaging areas to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
• Operate equipment in accordance with procedures and performance standards.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, HACCP, allergen management and food safety requirements.
• Inspect equipment and work areas to promote safe, efficient operations.
• Complete production, waste, and operational documentation accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and leadership teams to address equipment and operational concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following PPE and safety requirements.

About the Role

We are seeking a Utility Operator to join our team at our Alsip, IL Bakery. As a Utility Operator, you will be accountable for providing operational support across multiple production and packaging areas, ensuring safe and efficient manufacturing operations while maintaining food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards. This role is essential to supporting production continuity and helping the bakery achieve operational performance goals.

• Shift: 1st Shift
• Hours: 5:45 AM - 4:15 PM

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $19.00 - $21.00

Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)

• Provide operational support across multiple production and packaging areas to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
• Operate production and packaging equipment in accordance with established procedures and performance standards.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, allergen management, and food defense requirements.
• Inspect equipment and work areas to promote safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
• Complete production, waste, and operational documentation accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and leadership teams to address equipment and operational concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all PPE and safety requirements.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum one (1) year of manufacturing, production, warehouse, food processing, or related experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including a minimum of 8 hours per shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work safely around moving production equipment and conveyor systems.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Previous experience in a food manufacturing or bakery environment.
• Experience operating production, packaging, or processing equipment.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Familiarity with HACCP, allergen management, and food safety programs.
• Experience working in a team-based manufacturing environment.
