Job summary

HYNES KOKOMO LLC in Kokomo, IN is seeking a manufacturing operator to produce parts according to Manufacturing Orders, quality sheets, and part drawings.

You will set up and operate production equipment, perform basic troubleshooting, and maintain output while keeping a clean, safe workspace. Prior HS/GED and 1–3 years related experience preferred; forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 years related experience or training.
• Basic math, geometry, and measurement using tools such as tape measure, caliper, micrometer, gauge blocks.
• Ability to read Manufacturing Orders, quality check sheets and part drawings.
• Forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates production equipment with minimal supervision.
• Performs required set-up of the equipment.
• Completes Manufacturing Order and quality sheets accurately.
• Performs basic troubleshooting of equipment and production run.
• Maintains proper equipment production output and housekeeping.
• Works in a safe manner as directed by the supervisor.

Job description

This position requires the ability to perform the essential functions required to manufacture products according to the Manufacturing Order, quality sheets, and part drawing.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Includes the following:Operates the production equipment with no assistance.Performs the required set-up of the equipment.Completes Manufacturing Order and quality sheets accurately and complete.Basic trouble shooting of the equipment and production run.Maintains proper equipment production output.Maintains good housekeeping.Works in a safe manner.Other requirements as required by the department supervisor.Qualification Requirements:Education and/or Experience: High school/ GED equivalent, one to three years related experience or training, or combination of experience and education.Skills: Basic mathematical (Add, subtract, multiply, divide), Basic understanding of geometry, use basic measurement tools (tape measure, caliper micrometer, gauge blocks), understand verbal and written instructions, Ability to read Manufacturing Order, quality check sheets and part drawings. Forklift experience is a plus.Physical Requirements:Moderate physical effort that includes bending, lifting, and turning. The ability to lift 50 pounds. Frequent use of hand tools and electronic equipment controls.Work Environment: Manufacturing ad mill conditionsCompetencies: Safety awareness, Teamwork, responsibility, Initiative.
