Job summary

Barry Callebaut is seeking an Operator 2, Machine Liquid - Refiners in St. Albans, VT. The role focuses on staging and mixing raw materials, executing recipes, and performing quality checks on line operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of food manufacturing experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to operate forklifts while standing for long periods. Competitive benefits and a collaborative team await.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two-year technical degree in manufacturing preferred.
• CNC experience preferred.
• Microsoft Sheets and Google Sheets experience a plus.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Micrometer experience preferred.
• Basic computer usage (keyboard/mouse).
• Math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
• One year of food manufacturing experience required.
• Forklift operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of an Operator 1.
• Enter recipe data according to production schedule.
• Perform viscosity and quality checks on the line sampling.
• Correct the consistency of paste in a mixer and transfer the chocolate as needed.
• Track inventory, clean magnets and document HACCP.
• Cross train to perform all functions of an Operator 3, Machine Liquid.
• Cross train to perform all functions of an Operator 3, Machine Liquid- Mixer.

About the role:

The Operator 2, Machine Liquid - Refiners position is responsible for staging and mixing raw materials on the lines.

SHIFT HOURS:

Wednesday 1:00pm - 7:15pm and Thursday Friday and Saturday 7:00am - 7:15pm.

About you:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) year technical degree in mfg, preferred
• Computer Numerical Control (CNC) experience, preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Google Sheets, a plus
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Experience using a micrometer, preferred
• Basic computer usage (keyboard and mouse)
• Math skills required (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• One (1) year food manufacturing experience, required
• Ability to operate power equipment including forklift and hand card
• Ability to stand on concrete floor for long periods of time
• Bend, squat, stretch, reach; frequently
• Ability to climb stairs, often
• Must be able to lift minimum of 50lbs, often
• Comfortable working at heights
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the facility
• Noise level can exceed .85 decibels
