Job summary

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, seeks a Mill Operator for the 2nd shift in Tulsa, OK. You will oversee tube mill operations, ensure continuous operation, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

You will read OEM setup charts, adjust tooling, and perform preventative maintenance with a focus on quality and efficiency. Collaboration with maintenance and material handlers is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Experience using micrometers, calipers and tape measures.
• Able to read setup charts from OEMs and interpret them for tooling adjustments.
• Change out jaws and blades, refill oil, maintain tool readiness.
• Must meet scheduling timelines and document downtime to drive KPI.
• Strong communication to ensure smooth mill operation and tagging of product.

• Prioritize safety, quality, and housekeeping (5S).
• Coordinate daily/weekly activities with supervisor; perform visual quality checks.

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Operator. This position will be responsible for the tube mill operations and equipment of the mill to insure continuous operation during the shift.This will be a 2nd shift position; Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 1:30am.

What you will be doing:

• Safety, quality, priorities above all
• Focus on the keeping the mill operational
• Maintain clean, safe ,organized work area, 5S

• Cross Training of team members on parts programming and mill set ups
• TPM of process and equipment in the area
• Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisorPerform visual and manual quality checks of finished products.Minimize scrapWork with maintenance hands on to get issues resolved in a timely manner.

The skills and experience you need:

• High School diploma or GED Equivalent
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Experience in using special measuring devices, micrometer, calipers, tape measureMust be able to read set up charts supplied by OEM and interpret them to roll tooling adjustments.Change out cut off jaws, blades, and refill oil levels of equipmentDemonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames of schedulingMust be able to document down time through seamless reporting system to drive KPI trackingGood communication skills with coworkers to insure continuous flow of the mill and material handler for proper tagging of productAbility to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the millAbility to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities
