Aecon Utilities is seeking an experienced equipment operator to join our team in the United States. This role involves excavating live utilities, operating heavy equipment, and following strict safety and reporting protocols.
The position requires completing a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol screen, CSTS-2020 certification, and Ground Disturbance training. Travel to project sites may be required; a valid driver’s license is preferred.

Our Energy operations consist of natural gas gathering systems, distribution services maintenance, facilities construction, and water distribution. Gas distribution is the largest segment in the pipeline distribution portfolio, offering network design and construction or rehabilitation services for gas networks across Canada and the United States.
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Operator will be responsible for all phases of project execution.
Please note that this position is unionized, therefore it will be a requirement to join the union upon acceptance.
The expected pay for this role is $37.91 USD per hour as per the current Collective Agreement.
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
