Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a field-focused technician to support water quality sampling, data recording, and regulatory compliance. You will schedule samples, monitor water data, and respond to water quality issues as part of a team serving municipalities and industrial clients.

Qualifications include a High School diploma and the ability to interpret drawings and operate the company SCADA system. A valid NY driver's license and NYS Operator Grade II or higher license are required or

Job Description

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

• Availability for shift duty (as may be required).
• Physically capable of performing manual labor.
• The ability to obtain a knowledge of water utility regulations and sampling procedures.
• Record and maintain statistical operating records and water quality data.
• Schedule and collect samples as required by water quality regulations, customer requests, or company requirements.
• Address water quality complaints.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:

• High School Diploma/GED is required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Possess a general knowledge of operations.
• Ability to be contacted by phone and available for any and all emergencies.
• Working knowledge of mathematics.
• Have the ability to interpret drawings and schematics.
• Have the ability to legibly draw and write.
• Ability to operate Company’s SCADA system.

Required Certification/Licenses/Training:

• Must possess a valid driver license at all times.
• Must have applicable NYS Operator Grade II or higher License, or ability to obtain the same.

Additional Information

Pay Rate:$39.95 per hour.
