Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a water quality operator at our New Rochelle site to ensure compliance with water regulations and to oversee sampling, data recording, and response to quality concerns.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED, a valid driver's license, and NYS Operator Grade II (or higher) license or ability to obtain one. Shift availability and SCADA proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Must possess a valid driver license at all times.
• Must have NYS Operator Grade II license or higher, or ability to obtain.
• Working knowledge of water utility regulations and sampling procedures.
• Ability to record and maintain water quality data.

Responsibilities

• Availability for shift duty (as may be required).
• Physically capable of performing manual labor.
• Ability to obtain knowledge of water utility regulations and sampling procedures.
• Record and maintain statistical operating records and water quality data.
• Schedule and collect samples as required by water quality regulations, customer requests, or company requirements.
• Address water quality complaints.

Job Description

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

• Availability for shift duty (as may be required).
• Physically capable of performing manual labor.
• The ability to obtain a knowledge of water utility regulations and sampling procedures.
• Record and maintain statistical operating records and water quality data.
• Schedule and collect samples as required by water quality regulations, customer requests, or company requirements.
• Address water quality complaints.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:

• High School Diploma/GED is required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Possess a general knowledge of operations.
• Ability to be contacted by phone and available for any and all emergencies.
• Working knowledge of mathematics.
• Have the ability to interpret drawings and schematics.
• Have the ability to legibly draw and write.
• Ability to operate Company's SCADA system.

Required Certification/Licenses/Training

• Must possess a valid driver license at all times.
• Must have applicable NYS Operator Grade II or higher License, or ability to obtain the same.

Additional Information

Pay Rate:

$39.95 per hour.
