Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Shoffner in Knoxville is seeking an Equipment Operator to support electrical construction projects. You will safely operate skid steers, backhoes, and related heavy equipment, assist with site preparation, excavation, and material handling.

You will load and stage materials, conduct equipment inspections, and follow project plans and safety procedures. A valid driver's license is required, and electrical construction experience is preferred; opportunity to grow with a

Qualifications

• Experience operating skid steers, backhoes, or excavators.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a construction team.
• Ability to follow jobsite plans, markings, and supervisor direction.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Electrical construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate skid steers, backhoes, mini excavators, and similar construction equipment.
• Perform excavation, trenching, grading, and backfilling activities.
• Load, unload, transport, and stage materials, tools, and equipment.
• Conduct equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.

• Assist electrical construction crews with general construction activities as needed.
