Responsibilities

  • Perform general physical activities. Load material or workpieces into machinery.
  • Position, adjust, and secure stock material or workpieces against stops, arbors, or in chucks, fixtures, or automatic feeding mechanisms.
  • Thread or feed items or products through or around machine rollers and dryers.
  • Monitor finished goods as they exit from machines to prevent jamming.
  • Unload, count, stack, and sort material for further processing, packaging, or shipping according to work order specifications.
  • Record counts produced.
  • Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas of plants and warehouses, by hand or using hand trucks or pallet jacks.
  • Responsible for product quality and accuracy. Maintain consistent production quality.
  • Examine, measure, and weigh materials or products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring devices as rulers, micrometers, or scales.
  • Remove defective or substandard materials from machines and readjust machine components so that products meet standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Practice personal safety and follow all safety practices and procedures.
  • Comply with all policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Report all unsafe activities to management.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:
