Job summary

LRS is seeking an MRF Operator to join our team in Illinois. You will operate waste processing equipment and perform routine inspections to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.

The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety policies, and teamwork with the maintenance and site staff. You will monitor loading, report any issues, keep work areas clean, and follow DOT guidelines to maximize efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate and follow safety training.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre and post trip inspections of equipment to ensure fluids and safety devices are functional.
• Monitor equipment performance and report repairs to maintenance.
• Adhere to safety policies and keep machines and cabs clean.
• Monitor incoming materials and report unacceptable waste to management.
• Maximize truck load weights in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Reports To

Site Supervisor

• Perform daily pre and post trip inspection of the equipment per company standards to ensure fluid levels are at proper levels and safety devises are functioning properly
• Continuously monitor the performance of the equipment and report any repairs needed to the maintenance department
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Keep machine and cab clean
• Monitor materials coming in and report all unacceptable waste to management
• Maximize truck load weights per DOT regulations
• Perform other job duties as assigned

• Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.

Physical Demands / Environmental Factors

• Equipment operator position requires the operation of equipment with open and closed cabs.
• Required to work indoors and outdoors and will be exposed to weather extremes and dusty conditions.
• Required to work within close proximity to customers and will be exposed to busy traffic patterns.
