Job summary

Kerry is hiring a Blending Operator to prepare and certify large dry-ingredient batches, ensuring accuracy and correct proportions for manufacturing.

You will weigh ingredients, maintain batch records, and perform basic math for partial batches, while assisting with cleaning and operating scales, lifts, and mixers to keep the blending room orderly.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, ability to meet physical demands, and prior manufacturing experience is preferred.

• Ability to communicate verbally and in written form.
• Must have some work experience doing heavy manual labor within the last 5 years.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh and measure ingredients for use in blends.
• Maintain accurate paper records of the quantities of ingredients added to batches.
• Use basic math skills, including fractions, to calculate quantities of ingredients needed for partial batches.
• Assist with detailed cleaning activities in blending room as well as other areas of plant on a regular basis.
• Deliver a clean, well-ordered blending room to replacement each shift.
• Operate a vacuum-assisted lift, digital scales, paper recycling compressor, pallet lift, and mixer.
• Stage all required materials for pending blends in advance of shift change.

About the role

The blender is responsible for fully preparing and personally certifying large batches of dry food ingredients in accordance with Company specifications for use in the manufacturing process. This key position ensures that our food products contain only what they are supposed to contain and in the right proportions.
