Job summary

XTRA Lease in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Management Trainee to learn the ins and outs of running a rental facility within the national supply chain. You will develop skills in customer service, fleet management, vendor relations, invoicing, and leadership.

You’ll be mentored by experienced managers over 1–3 years, with growth toward Operations or Outside Sales roles, and join a team that values internal promotion and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or 4 years of relevant experience in customer-facing rental operations or outside sales.
• 1–2 years of customer service or 1–2 years in sales/business development.
• Willing to relocate out-of-state for promotion within 50 nationwide facilities.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Self-starter with motivation, critical thinking and conscientiousness.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to resolve issues.
• Leadership ability to train and develop lower level employees.

Responsibilities

• Learn the ins and outs of managing a rental facility within the national supply chain.
• Grow your skills in customer service, fleet management, vendor relations, invoicing and business leadership.
• Serve customers like PepsiCo and FedEx when trailers are needed and explain rental options.
• Inspect trailers for damage or issues using a handheld device.
• Manage customer accounts including credit and collections.
• Verify customer insurance coverage.
• Assign repair work to vendors and XTRA Lease mechanics.
• Use technology to perform inventories and other operational tasks.
• Occasional paid travel to other XTRA Lease branches and HQ for orientation and training.
