Superior Metals Manufacturing (SMM) in Chittenango, NY is hiring Operations Technicians for day and night shifts in a brand-new aerospace alloy manufacturing facility. This entry-level role offers hands-on training, a sign-on bonus, and a clear path to growth within a CPP-supported organization.

You will learn and perform basic tasks supporting revert handling, furnace operations, and equipment maintenance, with formal training provided and opportunities for advancement as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn industrial equipment.
• Ability to read/follow written instructions and safety procedures.
• Basic math skills for weighing and measuring.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Basic computer skills are needed.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to work overtime and on-site in Chittenango, NY.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, sort, resize, and weigh recycled metals revert to prepare for the melting process.
• Operate basic equipment after training (grinders, analyzers, cut-off saws).
• Record weights, batch data, and traceability information.
• Organize, stage, label, and prepare materials for furnace charging.
• Assist furnace operators by delivering charge materials safely.
• Safely operate cranes, hoists, and forklifts (training provided).
• Follow SOPs, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and support 5S standards.
• Communicate effectively to support production flow and problem-solving.

Entry Level Associate:

Pay: $ 22.54/hr + Quarterly Bonus

$1,000 Sign-On Bonus | Entry-Level | Full Training Provided

Shift: Day & Night shift openings with $3/hr differential available on 3rd shift.

Job Summary:

This role supports daily production in a fast-paced, safety-driven environment.
