Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an Operations Technician to safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations. You will read drawings, inspect facilities, and ensure compliance with safety and governmental standards while supporting data-driven improvements.

In this role, you will generate reports, logs, and maintenance records, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help optimize processes to protect people, the environment, and assets.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED and minimum three (3) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role.
  • Preferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree and minimum two (2) years of multifaceted operations technician experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills.
  • Proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers.

Responsibilities

  • Performs various tasks to safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations.
  • Reads/interprets drawings and inspects equipment to ensure standards.
  • Maintains operation and technical standards and governmental requirements.
  • Acquires knowledge of and adheres to site permits, compliance, and safety requirements.
  • Completes assigned reports and logs, maintaining accurate records of process operations and preventive maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Performs various tasks to safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations, including reading/interpreting drawings, inspecting/supervising equipment and maintaining operation/technical standards and/or governmental requirements
• Responsible for data analysis and collaboration with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems
• Follows all Company policies and applies appropriate operating and maintenance procedures
• Acquires knowledge of and adheres to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets
• Maintains general knowledge of site/location/equipment/specific permits and compliance
• Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Required: High School Diploma/GED and minimum three (3) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role
