Responsibilities

  • Monitor plant parameters and balance injection/withdrawal rates.
  • Monitor temperatures, pressures, tank levels, and lubricant levels to ensure equipment performance.
  • Operate compressors, separators, motors, tanks, dehydrators, pipelines, and wells.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Respond to alarms and report abnormal conditions.
  • Monitor SCADA and gas detection systems.
  • Review and execute assigned eMaintenance work orders.
  • Coordinate operations with team members and control room operators.
  • Maintain security and order of facilities and grounds.
  • Operate or assist with Telehandlers and UTVs.
  • Participate in training and continuing education.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Trinity Gas Storage, LLC will offer tailored gas storage services to meet the needs of a wide range of potential gas storage customers including Electric Utilities, IPPs, LDCs, Gas Producers, Industrial end-users, LNG and Gas Marketing entities conducting business in the Texas intra-state market.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Operations Technician I is a Full-Time, Non-Exempt position responsible for monitoring and operating natural gas compression and storage equipment to deliver natural gas according to operating plans. This role supports safe, reliable, and compliant facility operations through continuous monitoring, routine maintenance, and responsive troubleshooting under the direction of senior technicians and the Operations Foreman.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor wellhead pressures, flow rates, and gas quality; make adjustments to balance injection and withdrawal rates in accordance with hourly and daily nominations.
  • Monitor plant temperatures, pipeline pressures, tank levels, and lubricant levels to ensure proper equipment performance.
  • Monitor and assist in the operation of compressors, separators, motors, tanks, dehydrators, pipelines, and wells.
  • Conduct basic tests and inspections of storage wells, pipelines, and facility equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Respond promptly to alarms and urgent notifications and report abnormal conditions.
  • Monitor SCADA and gas detection systems.
  • Review and execute assigned eMaintenance work orders.
  • Communicate with team members and control room operators to coordinate operations.
  • Ensure plant facilities and grounds remain secure and orderly.
  • Operate or assist with mechanical equipment, including Telehandlers and UTVs.
  • Participate in ongoing training and continuing education.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the natural gas industry.
  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.

PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORK EFFORT
  • Keying/typing, sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Ability to spend long periods of time viewing computer monitor(s).
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
  • Ability to travel, including but not limited to driving, to/from various locations including conferences and trainings. May include observation of equipment buildouts.
  • Constant mental and/or visual attention.
  • Compliance with company attendance standards.
  • Repair of Mechanical equipment.
