Job summary

Potters Industries in Palestine, TX is seeking a Furnace/Grinding Operator to join our manufacturing team and help meet production goals in a safety-first environment.

This day-shift position runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., offering competitive benefits and weekly pay.

Responsibilities include safely operating furnace and grinding equipment, handling plant vehicles, performing basic quality checks, and supporting health, safety, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience in manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
• Must be able to work any day of the week.
• Must be medically cleared to wear a dust filtering respirator when needed.
• Forklift / front-end loader experience preferred.
• Computer skills with Outlook/Excel/Word/Access.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate furnace and grinding equipment to meet quality and production goals.
• Safely operate plant forklifts and front-end loader in support of production activities.
• Perform basic analytical testing to confirm quality of material in processes.
• Interpret analytical data and adjust processes to maintain quality output.
• Monitor levels of product within process equipment and record data; complete logs.
• Housekeeping and basic maintenance of production area.
• Participate in Health, Safety and Environmental activities, audits, and incident investigations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Safely operate our furnace and grinding equipment to meet quality & production goals
• Safely operate plant vehicles forklifts and front-end loader in support of production activities
• Perform basic analytical testing to confirm quality of material in processes
• Interpret analytical data and adjusts processes to maintain quality output
• Monitor levels of product within process equipment and record data within computer database and fill out paper logs during daily operations
• Housekeeping and basic maintenance of production area
• Participate in all Health, Safety and Environmental activities, monthly plant audits, accident investigations and Hazard IDs

Minimum Requirements for Consideration:

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Must be able to work any day of the week
• Must be able to be medically cleared to wear a dust filtering respirator when needed for housekeeping.
• Forklift / front-end loader operational experience
• Computer skills working with Microsoft Outlook / Excel / Word / Access
