Job summary

Maitri Medicinals in Pittsburgh seeks an Operations Technician to safely deliver cannabis products to Maitri stores and approved wholesale partners across Pennsylvania, while providing courteous service and ensuring order accuracy and on-time arrivals.

You will follow state regulations, maintain vehicle and equipment, use MJ Freeway inventory systems, support logistics and cross‑functional teams, and handle physically demanding shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license and 25+ age.
  • Experience with MJ Freeway or inventory systems.
  • Experience in transportation management and delivering product.
  • Ability to pass state and federal background checks and MVR.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Maitri products to retail locations and approved wholesale partners.
  • Provide professional customer service during deliveries.
  • Verify orders for accuracy prior to delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and safety practices.
  • Use delivery manifests and documentation in systems.

Summary of the Role

The Operations Technician supports the Logistics and Wholesale department by safely and efficiently delivering Maitri products while providing excellent customer service. This role is responsible for the secure transportation of products to retail locations and approved wholesale partners throughout the state using a company vehicle. The Operations Technician plays an important role in maintaining timely, accurate, and compliant product deliveries. This position offers exposure to multiple areas of the business, providing opportunities to develop a broad understanding of Maitri’s operational and supply chain functions.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery & Customer Service

  • Ensure the safe, secure, and timely delivery of Maitri products using a company delivery vehicle to Maitri retail locations and approved wholesale partners.
  • Deliver customer orders while providing professional, courteous, and responsive customer service.
  • Assemble and verify customer orders to ensure accuracy prior to delivery.

Compliance & Safety

  • Maintain full compliance with all company policies, state regulations, and delivery-related requirements.
  • Follow all safety practices when operating company vehicles, including defensive driving standards and incident reporting protocols.
  • Utilize MJ Freeway, Leaf Logix, and related systems to review and understand delivery manifests and documentation.

Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance

  • Maintain company vehicles to operational and cleanliness standards, including routine washing, vacuuming, and general upkeep.
  • Monitor fuel levels to ensure vehicles maintain at least a half tank and are prepared for next-day operations.

Operational Support & Collaboration

  • Support cross-functional team needs across logistics, supply chain, and operations as required.
  • Assist with additional operational processes and special projects as assigned.

Navigation

  • Demonstrate the ability to read and understand state highway and road maps to ensure efficient routing.
  • Perform work on ladders, scaffolding, and in confined or low‑clearance spaces as required.

Facilities & Housekeeping

  • Work cross-functionally to maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, functionality, safety, and security throughout the facility.

Other Duties

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support efficient, compliant, and customer-focused operations.
Position Requirements
  • Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Work long hours.
  • High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be 25 years of age or older (driving/insurance requirements).
  • Ability to pass state and federal criminal background checks and MVR.
  • Experience with MJ Freeway or any inventory management system.
  • Experience in transportation management and delivering product.
  • Proficiency with technology and ability to learn new systems quickly.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work extended hours and travel or commute long distances as needed.
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a workday.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work around plants and plant environments.
  • Work can be dirty/sticky and may leave you smelling like cannabis at the end of the day.
  • Work will be in a warehouse setting: temperatures may vary from warm to cool.
  • Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to, fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, and noise.
