Job summary

MSD is seeking an Operations Technician for our Animal Health facility in Worthington, Minnesota. The role involves working in cleanrooms, operating sterilization and filling equipment, and supporting biologics manufacturing processes on the 1st shift with potential weekend work.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a cleanroom and wear cleanroom garments.
  • Wear scrubs in production areas as required.
  • Operate steam sterilizers, filling lines, freeze dryers, and other equipment.
  • Prepare and clean equipment; clean and disinfect clean rooms.
  • Demonstrate good communication, documentation and computer skills.
  • Collaborate individually or with others as needed.

The Operations Technician position is available at our Company’s Animal Health facility in Worthington, Minnesota. The Worthington facility is expanding operations to manufacture vaccines for large and companion animals. Leveraging an experienced and innovative team environment, the key technologies at the site are biologics production using fermentation and cell culture platforms and filling and freeze-drying.

Responsibilities/Duties:
  • This job requires working in a cleanroom and wearing cleanroom garments.
  • The Position requires wearing scrubs when working in the production area.
  • Running steam sterilizers, filling lines, freeze dryers, environmental monitoring machines, crimping machines, and a dry heat oven.
  • Preparing and cleaning equipment
  • Cleaning and disinfecting clean rooms
  • Good communication, document, and computer skills are required.
  • You will work individually or with other people.
Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Microbiology, or related field preferred.
Experience and Skills:
  • Experience working in a lab or manufacturing of Biologics or assembly line work highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and procedures preferred.
Shift:
  • 1st shift – various days depending on Production schedule. Will include weekend work when schedule demands.

The salary range for this role is:$44,700 - $70,500

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
