Job summary

Avery Dennison Corporation is hiring an Operations Team Member (Machine Helper) to help prepare finished goods for shipment, ensure product quality, and support continuous improvement.

You will work with machine operators and shift teams on 2nd or 3rd shifts (immediate need), performing quality checks, packaging, and safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED OR 3+ years of manufacturing or warehouse experience.
• Basic computer literacy with production applications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and willingness to obtain a Lift Truck Operator License.

Responsibilities

• Quality & Packaging: Sort, label, inspect, and package finished goods to customer specs.
• Operational Support: Prepare cores for operators, track orders, keep packing areas stocked.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate shift updates and coordinate across departments to keep production running.
• Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean 5S work area and assist with equipment maintenance.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in group problem-solving and quality improvement projects.

Job Description

As anOperations Team Member (Machine Helper), you will play a vital role in our daily operations by preparing finished goods for shipment, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with machine operators and shift teams to deliver top-quality products safely and efficiently.

Shift & Compensation

2nd Shift:2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday - Friday

3rd Shift:10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Monday - Friday - IMMEDIATE NEED

What You Will Be Doing

Quality & Packaging: Sort, label, inspect, and package finished goods according to customer specifications and quality standards.

Operational Support: Prepare cores for machine operators, track multiple packing orders simultaneously, and keep work stations stocked with packaging materials.

Team Collaboration: Communicate shift updates and coordinate across departments to keep production running smoothly.

Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean work area using 5S practices, assist with basic equipment maintenance, and uphold safety protocols as a team role model.

Continuous Improvement: Participate in group problem-solving and quality improvement projects.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

Education/Experience: High School Diploma / GED OR 3+ years of relevant manufacturing or warehouse experience.

Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy (proficiency with production applications).

Physical & License Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (300 lbs total weight limit) and willingness to obtain a Lift Truck Operator License.

Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Safety First & Agility: Serves as a role model for safe work practices and adapts quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Quality Focus & Curiosity: Takes pride in delivering high-quality work, identifying root causes of issues, and continuous learning.
