Job summary

Johnsonville Meadowside facility is seeking an experienced manufacturing leader to coach a team of Members across Cook in Bag operations, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency. You will manage scheduling, timekeeping and daily performance while driving continuous improvement.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge (HACCP, GMP, USDA), and excellent communication skills. You will contribute to a collaborative, results-driven culture with growth opportunities and competitive

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of proven leadership ability.
• Knowledgeable in regulatory compliance (safety, HACCP, GMP and USDA).
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Demonstrated desire to learn, grow and take on increasing responsibility.
• Experience scheduling, coaching and performance feedback in a food manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach Members to deliver continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost and customer service.
• Train and coach Members on Cook in Bag Operations and provide rotation/break support.
• Create an environment that improves morale and work life while ensuring program adoption.
• Keep Coaches/Members informed of safety, quality, cost and production issues.
• Foster a safe, team-oriented atmosphere supporting continuous improvement.
• Lead daily Tailgate meetings and participate in projects.
• Crew and schedule Members; verify timecards for accuracy.
• Oversee full Cook in Bag line operations including stuffing, ovens and packaging.
• Lead other campus areas when needed.

Position Overview

Pay Range: $31.18/hr - $36.80/hr + $1.50 Shift Premium

Hours: 2:30pm to 12:30am, Monday-Friday (Overtime as production demands).

Responsibilities

• Coach Members to deliver continuous improvement in the areas of safety, food safety/quality, cost of goods manufactured, customer service, Member development and BPTW.
• Learn and understand the Cook in Bag Operations of Meadowside; train and coach Members on the process and provide rotation and break support to Members. Responsible for the performance, productivity and efficient utilization of resources.
• Create an environment that ensures Member involvement and implementation of programs, ideas, and guidelines that ensure fairness to all Members and improve Member morale and work life.
• Ensure appropriate Coaches/Members are kept informed of all problems, issues, and events that could affect safety, food safety/quality, cost, customer service, Member development and BPTW.
• Ensure a safe, helpful, Team atmosphere, which promotes continuous improvement among team Members.
• Participate/facilitate in daily Tailgate meetings
• Participate in projects
• Be responsible for the crewing and scheduling of members as well as verifying timecards for accuracy
• Responsible for full Cook in Bag line, including stuffing, ovens, and packaging
• Lead other areas on campus when necessary.

Experience

• A minimum 3 years of proven leadership ability and knowledge

• A minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably in USDA facilities is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate and demonstrate teamwork performance to maintain World Class Results.
• Create a Personal Development Commitment (PDC) to help you achieve future development goals.
• Experience scheduling Members to meet production and the Member’s needs preferred
• Experience performing annual Member performance reviews preferred
• Ability to properly use computer programs such as SAP, Excel, Access, Kronos, etc.
• Demonstrate experience setting KPI goals and reporting out on KPI results.
• Based on business necessity, must be proficient in English.
