Job summary

Johnsonville, LLC. in Sheboygan, WI seeks a hands-on leader for our Cook in Bag operations. You will coach a team across safety, quality and productivity, ensure line readiness, and train Members in Meadowside Cook in Bag operations.

This role emphasizes continuous improvement and accountability, with a focus on teamwork and timely production. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of leadership experience in food manufacturing, familiarity with SAP/Excel/Kronos, and a proven ability to drive

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of proven leadership ability and knowledge.
  • Proficiency in English and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety, HACCP, GMP and USDA regulatory requirements.
  • Experience providing feedback and coaching to Members on performance and development.
  • Ability to schedule Members to meet production needs and manage timecards.
  • Experience using SAP, Excel, Kronos or similar systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach team members to deliver continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Train and rotate Members in Cook in Bag Operations and ensure smooth line throughput.
  • Foster a fair, collaborative environment that improves morale and work life for Members.
  • Communicate issues affecting safety, quality, or productivity to Coaches and Members.
  • Support daily Tailgate meetings and participate in campus projects as needed.
  • Schedule crewing and verify timecards; manage full Cook in Bag line operations.

Position Overview

Pay Range: $31.18/hr - $36.80/hr
Hours: 5:30am to 3:30pm, Monday-Friday (Overtime as production demands).

Responsibilities
  • Coach Members to deliver continuous improvement in the areas of safety, food safety/quality, cost of goods manufactured, customer service, Member development and BPTW.
  • Learn and understand the Cook in Bag Operations of Meadowside; train and coach Members on the process and provide rotation and break support to Members. Responsible for the performance, productivity and efficient utilization of resources.
  • Create an environment that ensures Member involvement and implementation of programs, ideas, and guidelines that ensure fairness to all Members and improve Member morale and work life.
  • Ensure appropriate Coaches/Members are kept informed of all problems, issues, and events that could affect safety, food safety/quality, cost, customer service, Member development and BPTW.
  • Ensure a safe, helpful, Team atmosphere, which promotes continuous improvement among team Members.
  • Participate/facilitate in daily Tailgate meetings
  • Participate in projects
  • Be responsible for the crewing and scheduling of members as well as verifying timecards for accuracy
  • Responsible for full Cook in Bag line, including stuffing, ovens, and packaging
  • Lead other areas on campus when necessary.
Experience
  • A minimum 3 years of proven leadership ability and knowledge

  • Knowledgeable in regulatory compliance (safety, HACCP, GMP and USDA).
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrate experience in providing positive feedback and coaching Members on performance improvement and Member Development. Proven experience holding others accountable to performance expectations.
  • A minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably in USDA facilities is preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate and demonstrate teamwork performance to maintain World Class Results.
  • Create a Personal Development Commitment (PDC) to help you achieve future development goals.
  • Experience scheduling Members to meet production and the Member’s needs preferred
  • Experience performing annual Member performance reviews preferred
  • Ability to properly use computer programs such as SAP, Excel, Access, Kronos, etc.
  • Demonstrate experience setting KPI goals and reporting out on KPI results.
  • Based on business necessity, must be proficient in English.
