ATI Physical Therapy in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Aide to join a collaborative team delivering exceptional patient care. You will support therapists, prep treatment areas, assist patients with exercises, and help manage daily operations.

This full-time role offers hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to physical therapy workflows. A High School diploma and healthcare or customer service experience are preferred; 18+ age requirement applies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the therapy team.
• Assist patients with exercises and support home exercise programs.

Title: Physical Therapy Aide

Location: Gaithersburg, MD

Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday: 7:00am - 7:00pm

Status: Full-time 40 hours

In this position, you’ll receive hands‑on training, mentorship, and direct exposure to the field of physical therapy.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with patients warmly both by phone and in person during the daily check-in process and throughout their appointment time.
• Promote an efficient patient intake and registration process and assist clinicians with timely scheduling.
• Effectively onboard new patients reviewing relevant paperwork, verifying benefits, and completion of medical forms.
• Support Physical Therapist by preparing and cleaning treatment areas, as well as setting up and adjusting exercise equipment.
• Monitor patient progress and provide feedback the therapy team.
• Assist patients in performing exercises and support their prescribed home exercise programs.

Qualifications

Required

• High School diploma
• Must be 18+ years
• Healthcare and/or customer service experience

Preferred

• Healthcare experience (Physical Therapist Aide/Technician, Medical Assistant, hospital employment, chiropractic, fitness industry, PT & PTA students)
• Certified Personal Trainer experience.
• Experience or education in Health Services, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology.
