Job summary

GEM Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Operations Support Specialist to join the Los Alamos National Laboratory project in Los Alamos, New Mexico. The role is full-time and on-site, supporting project activities and documentation while emphasizing safety, security, and quality.

You will assist with procurement, scheduling, records, and cost tracking, coordinating across teams and organizations to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.

Qualifications

• Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience; additional, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an Operations Support Specialist to join our team supporting the Los Alamos National Laboratory! This position is full-time and will be based out of Los Alamos, New Mexico.

Requirements

• Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience; additional, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.

• Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.

• Entry-level knowledge of operational support processes and procedures.

• Ability to follow established processes and work under the direction of a supervisor, team lead, or manager.

• Ability to organize and track multiple activities, records, and deliverables.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to coordinate with personnel across multiple teams and supporting organizations.

• Ability to identify and assist with resolving moderately complex operational issues.

About the Site

The NNSA's Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), located in Los Alamos, New Mexico, is a design laboratory responsible for the safety and reliability of the nuclear explosives package in nuclear weapons. This lab possesses unique capabilities in neutron scattering, enhanced surveillance, radiography, and plutonium science and engineering (energy.gov).
