Job summary

Black Hills Energy in Cheyenne, Wyoming is seeking a detail-oriented Operations Support specialist to schedule daily work, manage customer information, and document tasks for the operations team. You will coordinate with field crews and external agencies to ensure efficient service delivery and timely updates to project records.

Qualifications

  • Schedule daily work for service and operations staff using scheduling tools.
  • Submit facility locating requests to agencies (except when technician is required).
  • Support meter issue investigations and processing of meter changes and equipment orders.
  • Assist with expense reporting, invoicing, and invoicing third-party services.

Position summary:

Support the utility operations team with direct support for scheduling, entering customer information, documenting work and providing support for the team.

Pay Range:

$23.39 - $35.24 per hour (This posting includes the full pay range for this position. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.)

Essential Functions
  • Schedule daily work for service and operational employees and/or crews through scheduling tools.
  • Submit requests to various agencies for facility locating (except in areas where this person is required to be the technician that will be excavating).
  • Support meter issue investigations, processing meter changes and equipment orders.
  • Assist with expense reporting, processing invoices, submit invoices for 3rd party damage and invoicing technical services.
  • Assist in tracking contract deposits and refunds for customer construction.
  • Assist with scanning, filing and maintaining operations related materials and data entry into electronic systems.
  • Assist with arranging meetings, updating schedules for emergency plans, ordering office supplies and provide support to Supervisor for building maintenance.
  • Exercise appropriate level of independent judgment on Company proprietary and confidential matters.
  • Work with customers on a daily basis to help resolve their service issues.

  • Promote culture of safety, compliance, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Support and manage special projects that may be assigned.
  • Provide support to other areas of the Company as requested or assigned.
What Is Required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of customer service, utility industry and/or scheduling experience

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-task environment as a collaborative team member.
