Job summary

The Simplot Company in the United States is seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Operator for its dry fertilizer facility. Under general direction, you will manage inventory, operate blending equipment, and ensure safe, efficient daily operations.

Responsibilities include dispatching orders, maintaining accuracy, performing routine maintenance, and collaborating with customers and internal teams. A GED/HS diploma and 1+ year of operations or warehousing experience are preferred.

Summary

Under general direction, performs a variety of operational responsibilities related to dry fertilizer plant operations including: inventory management, equipment maintenance, and customer order fulfillment. This position is responsible for overseeing daily dry warehouse activities, operating blending equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, dispatching orders, and ensuring equipment and facilities are operating safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day operations of the dry fertilizer facility, ensuring efficient workflow and organization.
• Operate blending equipment and utilize AgVance software to create blends and process customer orders.
• Dispatch and coordinate dry fertilizer orders to support customer needs and operational schedules.
• Perform routine equipment and facility maintenance including greasing equipment, replacing bearings, troubleshooting minor mechanical issues, and general upkeep.
• Conduct housekeeping activities, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Receive, store, and manage inventory while performing routine and annual physical inventory counts.
• Load, unload, and move products safely using appropriate equipment. Maintain accurate operational and inventory records.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members to ensure timely service and issue resolution.
• Assist with special projects, seasonal operational needs, training activities, and other duties as assigned.

Typical Education

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Relevant Experience

• One or more years of operations, warehouse, agricultural, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.
• Experience operating equipment is preferred.
• Agricultural background preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn operational software systems, including AgVance.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ownership and accountability for assigned responsibilities.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities for basic mechanical mainte nance .

Required Certifications

Valid Driver's License required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb stairs throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate equipment and work around moving machinery.

Ag-Industry Hours. Overtime and extended hours during peak seasons may be required.
