Operations Support Analyst
Location: Dearborn, MI
Pay Rate: $37.94+/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Fully Onsite
Are you experienced in data analysis, process improvement, value stream mapping, and operational reporting? We are seeking an Operations Support Analyst to support a high-volume Tool & Die operation by analyzing workflows, improving operational efficiency, tracking performance metrics, and partnering with finance and operations teams to support business objectives.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Experience Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in data mining, data analysis, or operations analysis.
- Experience creating reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Background supporting manufacturing, industrial, operations, or production environments preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with value stream mapping, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, production, and finance teams.
- Advanced Excel and data reporting experience preferred.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to work onsite in an office and manufacturing environment.
- Ability to move throughout production and operational areas as needed.
- Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.
Job Duties
- Analyze and document operational workflows related to tooling, maintenance, production support, and work order management.
- Develop value stream maps to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and process improvement opportunities.
- Track KPIs including cycle time, backlog, capacity, utilization, spend, and work order completion.
- Create reports, dashboards, and visual management tools to improve operational visibility.
- Partner with finance to monitor budgets, tooling costs, labor impacts, forecasting, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, and operational performance.
