Job summary

The Simplot Company in Crowley, LA is hiring an Operations Support 1 (General Laborer) to help with daily warehouse, seed, fertilizer, and crop protection product operations, while keeping a safe, organized site. • Agriculture, warehouse, grain handling, manufacturing, or general labor experience preferred; experience is not required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and enter grain bins, silos, and other confined spaces safely.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding agricultural environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and training requirements.
• Perform miscellaneous duties, special projects, and other assigned responsibilities.

Summary

Under general direction, performs a variety of operational support responsibilities including warehouse operations, seed handling, inventory management, equipment operation, facility maintenance, and general housekeeping. Supports daily activities involving agricultural products including seed, crop protection products, and fertilizer while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
