Job summary

Lynden Transport is seeking an Operations Assistant to supervise and coordinate service center activities, including pickup, delivery, and linehaul operations, safety and hazmat compliance, and customer service.

You will supervise loading/unloading, dispatch equipment, and records, while supporting efficiency improvements and ensuring regulatory compliance. A Bachelor's degree or three years related experience is required, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret hazardous materials shipping regulations and safety rules.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers, customers and the public.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts as part of freight handling documentation.
