Job Summary:

The Operations Supervisor provides leadership to ensure customer, team member, and vendor satisfaction by fostering a culture of continuous improvement aligned with plant goals. Responsibilities include training, developing, and coaching employees to meet objectives, supporting dairy and non-dairy beverage manufacturing operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Lead efforts to achieve safety, quality, production, personnel, performance, and cost goals.
  2. Ensure objectives are met through effective resource utilization and policy execution.
  3. Own process and system improvements to reduce losses and enhance line efficiency.
  4. Drive process efficiency across multiple lines, including problem solving and loss data management.
  5. Apply manufacturing methodologies like Lean, TPM, and Six Sigma, promoting a culture of continuous improvement while balancing quality, productivity, safety, and morale.
  6. Support employees through coaching, mentoring, and resolving mechanical issues to boost productivity and equipment capabilities.
  7. Enforce GMPs and adherence to policies, providing coaching and corrective actions when needed.
  8. Validate employee training and SOP compliance.
  9. Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to dairy processing, safety, and working conditions.
  10. Report food safety issues, support SQF standards, and maintain sanitation and biosecurity measures.
  11. Foster a positive work environment, maintaining open communication and resolving workplace concerns.
  12. Participate in hiring, coaching, and employee development activities.
  13. Manage labor scheduling to meet budget and forecasted goals.
  14. Investigate safety incidents and ensure timely retraining if necessary.
Education and Experience:

AS or similar degree preferred; BS or BA in manufacturing or management is advantageous, or equivalent work experience leading teams in manufacturing.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Proven achievement in high-speed, high-volume manufacturing, preferably in beverages.
  • Experience with Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Track record of delivering measurable results.
  • SAP/ERP experience is preferred.
