Job Summary:

The Operations Supervisor will provide a high level of leadership to ensure customer, team member, and vendor satisfaction. The Operations Supervisor does this by leading a culture of continuous improvement to achieve plant goals in their assigned area. The Operations Supervisor is also responsible for training, developing, and coaching employees to meet goals and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership necessary for achieving plant goals in Safety, Quality, Production, People, Performance, and Cost.
  • Responsible for the successful attainment of objectives, execution of policies, and effective utilization of available resources.
  • Act as an owner of process and system improvements to drive down losses and improve line efficiency.
  • Drive process efficiency on multiple production lines, including daily problem solving and tracking loss data.
  • Utilize strong problem-solving skills and manufacturing methodologies including Lean, TPM, and Six Sigma.
  • Support employees by coaching, mentoring, and assisting in resolving mechanical malfunctions.
  • Enforce GMPs and ensure adherence to Corporate and Plant Policies.
  • Validate proper training and development of employees and ensure compliance with all SOPs.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements concerning dairy processing, safety, and working conditions.
  • Report food safety problems and support SQF by maintaining food safety and quality.
  • Establish and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Interview and hire for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure proper labor scheduling to meet budgeted and forecasted objectives.
  • Ensure Safety Compliance and conduct accident investigations.

Education and Experience:

AS or similar degree, BS or BA in manufacturing/management preferred or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing setting.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven track record in a high-speed, high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in beverage.
  • Success in utilizing LEAN and similar concepts for continuous improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Evidence of delivering results.
  • SAP/ERP experience preferred.
