Job summary

Inland Group of Companies is seeking an Operations Supervisor for our QAS team. You will oversee facility equipment and labor, ensuring safety, efficiency, and superior customer service at our Charlotte-based airport operations.

The role supports the Operations Manager in staffing, audits, and training, while maintaining regulatory compliance and fostering strong customer relationships for retention and satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; lead experience preferred.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; able to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; report writing and data sharing.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances per authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead station staff and coordinate daily operations to ensure safe, efficient aircraft handling.
  • Assist Operations Manager with staffing, scheduling, audits, and training; support discipline and promotions.
  • Maintain compliance with Inland policies and government regulations; ensure customer service excellence.
  • Answer airline and FAA questions; prepare reports for management; participate in meetings.

Ensure all staff are compliance with Inland’s policy of superior service and satisfaction while maintaining compliance with all written company and Government rules and regulations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):• Participate and exchange ideas in meetings and conference calls as required keeping the Operations at your location updated on new developments;• Ensure your station is focused on achieving optimal customer service, customer retention and customer relationships to maintain quality of service;• Assist the Operations Manager with station audits, provide information needed for reports, and handle all airline and FAA questions/concerns as required;• Assist the Base Operations Manager in hiring, scheduling and training; recommended discipline and promotion of employees to new duties and responsibilities;• Audit and maintain that all station activities are conducted to guarantee the highest level of employee and equipment safety for protection of assets, sustaining regulatory compliance and support company mission, values and purpose;Required Skills and Experience:• High school diploma or equivalent preferred;• 2 years experience in a “Lead” role preferred;• Effective time management and organizational skills to manipulate multiple projects and conflicting deadlines at once;• Verbal and written communication skills;• The ability to listen to others and value opinions, interpret information, promote and execute ideas, prepare reports and presentations, lead groups and provide foundation of open communication are required;• Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel);• A valid driver’s license is required for this position.• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances required by Local and Federal Regulatory Authorities.Work Environment:• Office environment with the potential of remaining seated for extended periods of time;• Continuous use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse;• Warehouse - physically strenuous, prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to noise (may be excessive at times), safe but potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures and humidity, in and around heavy moving equipment;• Outdoor - prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to prevalent weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes and noise, in or around heavy equipment and moving vehicles;• May be exposed to hazards inherent in airport operations, including noise, vehicles, equipment, and weather, all of which are well-managed with a high level of training, personal protective equipment, and safety procedures.Physical Demands:• Must be able to squat, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch, crawl in awkward positions;• Must be able to lift, push pull up to 55 pounds at times, but not in excess of 75 pounds;• May be exposed to loud noises, harmful materials and dangerous equipment or machinery;• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.The Inland Group of Companies offers a variety of opportunities to work in the field of aviation.
