Job summary

MSCCN is seeking a seasoned Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily operations, safety programs, and maintenance quality in a fast-paced environment. The role requires coordinating planned and ad-hoc maintenance while ensuring compliance with FARs and repair station standards.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, planning, and customer-service skills, with APS-certified expertise in avionics and electrical work.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in aircraft heavy/line maintenance and inspections.
  • Familiarity with aircraft inspection systems and avionics/electrical work.
  • Leadership experience in aircraft maintenance roles preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise assigned aircraft maintenance personnel and manage daily operations of the maintenance department, including safety, schedules, and quality.
  • Coordinate completion of planned and ad-hoc maintenance.
  • Ensure work complies with Repair Station/FARs.
  • Monitor housing and facilities safety requirements and report issues.
  • Engage with customers regarding Aircraft Maintenance as needed.
  • Identify best practices and promote continuous improvement initiatives.

Job description

What are your contributions to the team?

Supervise assigned aircraft maintenance employees and responsible for the daily and overall operations of the aircraft maintenance department, to include safety, schedules, personnel, and quality.

  • Encourage and promote a safe work environment by supervising a safety/security program
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities such as performance & development management, time keeping, hiring, dismissals and lead/coordinate daily meetings
  • Coordinate the completion of all planned and ad-hoc maintenance
  • Ensure that work is performed in accordance with Repair Station/Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
  • Monitor housing and facilities safety requirements and report any insufficiency
  • Engage with customers regarding Aircraft Maintenance (where required)
  • Identify and communicate best practices and champion continuous improvement initiatives
How to thrive in this role?
  • Have (typically) 5 years of experience in performing aircraft heavy/line maintenance and inspection procedures
  • Be thoroughly familiar with aircraft inspection system & procedures and avionics/electrical work
  • Have leadership experience; Aircraft Maintenance preferred
  • Possess an A&P certificate or certificated under FAR (part 65)
  • Be familiar with aircraft inspection system & procedures
  • Be familiar with Environmental, Health & Safety rules and regulations
  • Have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Demonstrate effective leadership and coaching skills with the ability to develop people
  • Have strong organizational and planning skills
  • Possess proficient computer skills
