This position is responsible for planning the daily shipping and receiving activities of the unit to achieve department and organizational metrics. The role involves determining job assignments and coordinating all aspects of receiving, selection, put-away, safety, inventory control, and sanitation to ensure productivity goals are met efficiently.

Position will support 2nd shift with flexible start times between 3-8pm. Must be open to 2nd shift and Sunday-Saturday scheduling for consideration.

What You'll be Doing:

• Interview, train, develop, and maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet daily operational goals.
• Identify high potential team members interested in further development opportunities, creating a succession bench for leadership.
• Foster positive working relationships with team members and union representatives, where applicable, to promote satisfaction and retention.
• Create a positive and innovative work environment that values and encourages differences.
• Ensure adherence to Meijer policies, procedures, and practices.
• Establish and maintain DC Scorecard metrics for productivity and efficiency; utilize data analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Train, coach, and lead work teams to achieve performance, quality, cost, and service goals; ensure safe operation of material handling equipment.
• Manage team member concerns and lead investigations, providing recommendations on discipline in collaboration with HR.
• Monitor and track performance metrics; deliver coaching, retraining, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Continuously evaluate warehouse processes and recommend improvements.
• Handle administrative duties related to production, shipping, and quality performance.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management preferred.
• 3+ years of leadership and/or warehouse management experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Conflict resolution and performance management abilities.
