Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

You will manage production scheduling, shop floor execution, material flow, and equipment readiness while guiding teams and coordinating with Quality, Engineering, Receiving, EH&S, and admin staff to meet customer commitments and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage production schedules and customer commitments.
  • Experience with travelers, work instructions, production documentation, and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude and maintenance coordination experience.
  • Familiarity with shipping, receiving, inventory, and material flow.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across Production, Quality, Engineering, EH&S, Receiving, Inspection, and admin teams.
  • MS Office proficiency; ERP/MRP experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production activities and set priorities based on schedules and resources.
  • Coach and hold accountability for production staff and leads.
  • Monitor progress and address bottlenecks, staffing, and material issues.
  • Maintain visible shop floor presence and enforce work instructions and quality standards.
  • Coordinate travelers, documentation, schedules, and order requirements.
  • Work with Quality and Engineering to resolve issues and drive root-cause corrective actions.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and external service providers.
  • Support material flow, receiving, inventory, and shipping on-time delivery.
  • Promote safety, EH&S, housekeeping and 5S practices.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources as needed.
  • Lead annual physical inventory and maintain accuracy.

Operations Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to leaddaily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced aerospace environment. Thishands-on leadership role is responsible for production scheduling, shop floorexecution, employee direction, material flow, equipment readiness, shippingsupport, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

The Operations Supervisor will work closely with ProductionLeads, Quality, Engineering, Receiving, Inspection, EH&S, andadministrative teams to identify and resolve issues, maintain production flow,and ensure customer commitments are met.

Job Summary
  • Leaddaily production activities and establish priorities based on customerrequirements, schedules, materials, labor, and equipment availability.
  • Providedirection, coaching, and accountability to production employees and leads.
  • Monitorproduction progress and proactively address bottlenecks, staffingconstraints, material shortages, and schedule risks.
  • Maintaina visible presence on the shop floor and ensure adherence to workinstructions, procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Coordinateproduction travelers, documentation, schedule updates, and orderrequirements.
  • Partnerwith Quality and Engineering to resolve production and quality issues andsupport root-cause and corrective actions.
  • Coordinateequipment maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance, and outsideservice providers.
  • Supportmaterial flow, receiving, inventory, shipping, carrier coordination, andon-time shipment execution.
  • Promotesafety, EH&S, housekeeping, and 5S standards.
  • Identifyand lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality,productivity, and efficiency.
  • Coordinatecross-functional resources and coordinate cross-functional resources and coordinate

  • Performother operational and supervisory duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Aerospace,precision manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or other quality-drivenmanufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strongability to prioritize work and manage production schedules and customercommitments.
  • Experiencewith manufacturing travelers, work instructions, production documentation,and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Mechanicalaptitude and experience coordinating equipment troubleshooting andmaintenance.
  • Familiaritywith shipping, receiving, inventory, and material flow.
  • Strongleadership, communication, organization, decision-making, andproblem-solving skills.
  • Abilityto work effectively across Production, Quality, Engineering, EH&S,Receiving, Inspection, and administrative functions.
  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Office; ERP/MRP experience preferred.
  • Forkliftcertification or ability to obtain certification preferred.
Required Experience and Education
  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • 3+years of manufacturing, production, or operations experience withdemonstrated leadership or supervisory responsibility.

Base Compensation: USD 80,000.00 - 90,000.00Paid Salaried
