Job summary

Block By Block is hiring an Operations Supervisor to oversee the Ambassador Team and ensure effective deployment of resources on a day-to-day basis in Florida. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, coaching, and continuous training to align with company standards and policies.

Key duties include recruiting and onboarding ambassadors, managing in-field operations, solving problems, and maintaining reporting through various channels.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding of ambassadors; train and mentor the team.
• Adjust deployment of resources to match daily needs and staffing levels.
• Identify problems and implement innovative solutions to improve the program.
• Oversee purchasing and inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Generate and report outcomes via spreadsheets, Kronos and budgets.

Block by Block is seeking to hire an Operations Supervisor to provide oversight of our Ambassador Team.

Annual Salary: $55,000.00-$65,000.00

Required Experiences/Skillset

• Law Enforcement/Military/Security
• Management/Supervisory background
• Ability to create reports
• Computer + Microsoft Office suite proficiency

Required Licensure

• Valid FL Driver's License
• FL Class D Security License

Specific daily responsibilities of the Operations Supervisor may include

• Coordinate recruitment and selection of candidates. Onboarding and training of all new Ambassadors. Create a culture that would make everyone want to join your team!
• Continual adjustments to the deployment of resources to match changing needs. This includes resources of the "human kind." Basically, redeploying according to daily needs.
• Continual problem identification and solving to improve the quality of the program. Problem solving is a very big part of what we do. (We need an innovator to lead our team.)
• Purchasing and inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Reporting outcomes through a variety of reporting channels (This means spreadsheets, Kronos, Timekeeping, Budgets...you get the idea.)
• Hands-on working manager in the field to provide coaching, mentoring, and continuous training on standard policies and procedures.

Physical Abilities

Must have the physical capacity to walk continuously during an eight hour shift, with normal breaks (two fifteen minutes, and one thirty minute meal break). Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions with provided inclement weather gear.

Communication

Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in order to create basic reports.

Computer Skills

Must be proficient in computer usage and in Microsoft Office products.
