Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) is seeking a Plant Supervisor in Orlando, FL. The role involves overseeing shipping, receiving, operations, safety, and environmental aspects on site, while helping control inventory dollars and tonnage to meet company standards.

The candidate will support the Operations Manager and Plant Manager to achieve plant goals, uphold safety culture, and address operational challenges in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervises plant activities including shipping, receiving, operations, safety and environmental.
• Assists in inventory control to meet turnover standards.
• Works with Operations Manager and Plant Manager to meet goals.
• Maintains safety and environmental compliance awareness.
• Collaborates with leadership to ensure smooth plant operations.

What You’ll Do

• Supervises activities of Plant including shipping, receiving, operations, safety and environmental
• Assists in the control of inventory dollars and tons by meeting inventory turn standards set forth by the company
• Assists Operations Manager in maintaining an accurate inventory with no losses due to fraud, poor quality control, poor operational or accounting practices
• Must collaborate with Operations Manager and Plant Manager to ensure successful accomplishment of plant goals
• Must be able to maintain and be familiar with safety and environmental concerns
