Job summary

Interflex Datensysteme GesmbH is looking for an Operations Supervisor in Oceanside, CA. You will lead a team of 20 to 40 associates to ensure safe production and timely order fulfillment while meeting productivity targets. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, along with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Operations Supervisor - Oceanside, CA
What You Will Do
  • Lead a team of approximately 20 to 40 hourly associates to safely produce products and fill customer orders on time and to specification, while achieving productivity targets.
  • Engage the workforce in continuous improvement of key business metrics.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing tools to eliminate waste and lead Rapid Improvement Events (Kaizen) when applicable.
  • Implement 5S, write, implement, and improve standard work, and drive accountability to adherence.
  • Plan daily production activities in keeping with the company’s goals and objectives and align projects to meet requirements.
  • Ensure timely planning and production of material to meet end‑customer or upstream needs.
  • Oversee and review the accuracy of production in accordance with all ISO and quality standards.
  • Perform safety audits and implement improvements, ensuring all operations function safely and in accordance with established EHS procedures.
  • Maintain and issue operations performance KPIs, and identify and implement cost‑reduction measures to drive operational efficiency.
  • Plan for staff development by organizing training sessions and selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel to ensure efficient operation.
  • Manage and communicate cross‑functionally within the organization, with suppliers, and service providers to support site‑specific shipping functions.
What You Need To Succeed
  1. Physical:
    • Ability to occasionally lift up to 60 lbs from floor to waist or waist to shoulder, push/pull up to 70 lbs, and occasionally greater than 70 lbs.
    • Ability to use fingers and hands for handling, reach with hands and arms, perform frequent repetitive motions, and stand, walk, and sit frequently.
    • Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
    • Ability to judge distances, perform visual/mechanical inspections.
    • Ability to operate material handling equipment within manufacturer’s height and weight requirements and guidelines for operators.
  2. Mechanical:
    • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places.
    • Ability to perform material, tooling, and fixturing handling activities.
  3. Environmental:
    • Exposure to various chemicals including greases, oils, adhesives, solder and welding fumes, in safe exposure amounts, and approved for use.
    • Exposure to moderate noise levels with intermittent loud noises.
    • Exposure to sharp objects and parts, and moving mechanical parts with guarding.
  4. Educational and/or Experience:
    • 3–5 years of supervisory experience with a similar‑sized team in a manufacturing setting.
    • Previous experience in fabrication strongly preferred.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field highly preferred.
    • Proficiency in written and oral English and Spanish strongly preferred.
    • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, ability to lead and develop people, drive engagement, problem solving, report writing, presentation skills, teamwork, analytical and critical thinking, detail orientation, meeting deadlines.

Salary

The expected base salary range is $70,304 – $85,000. Compensation will be based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
