Job summary

First Rescue Ambulance is seeking an Experienced Ambulance Operations Manager to lead daily operations, oversee field staff and dispatchers, and ensure compliance with company policies. The role supports growth in equipment and personnel, and collaborates with the COO and Dispatch Manager to optimize efficiency.

The candidate should have 2+ years in ambulance supervision, current EMT or paramedic certification (preferred), CPR, and a valid Ambulance Drivers License.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years in ambulance supervision or ambulance management, preferably in Los Angeles County.
  • Must be currently certified as an EMT or paramedic (preferred but negotiable).
  • CPR Certification (Healthcare Provider).
  • Medical Examiners Certificate.
  • Ambulance Drivers License.
  • Clean driving record with 2 years of commercial driving experience.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Can manage time and multi-task.
  • Knowledge of utilizing performance reports to improve efficiency, utilization and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the COO and Dispatch Manager to ensure efficiency and growth by maintaining current operations and supporting growth in equipment and personnel.
  • Responsible for ensuring the efficiency and compliance of company policies and procedures for all field staff and dispatchers.
  • Assures that all assigned personnel report to duty on time, tracks attendance and follows up on attendance issues.
  • Direct oversight of employees in accordance with the Company's Policies and Procedures.
  • Assists field providers in performance of their duties.
  • Reviews ePCR reports on a daily basis, assures that QA corrections are completed by field staff in a timely manner.
  • Reviews incident reports and follows through with investigation and closure of incident.
  • Oversees the work of Equipment Officers to ensure compliance of vehicles, maintenance and company image.
  • Responds to scenes when requested, gathers information and leads investigations into accidents, injuries, and other incidents.
  • Promotes a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Ensures compliance of First Rescue Ambulance Policies and Procedures including uniform, grooming, attendance, etc.
  • Assists with dispatching duties when needed.
  • Oversees the Field Training Officer Program.
  • Ensures all EMTs obtain DOT permitting in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the recruitment of field staff.
  • Assists with orientation of new hire EMTs and other field staff.
  • Assists in completion of field schedule to include filling open shifts, finding coverage if an employee calls off, and assisting in determining the need for additional shifts on the schedule.
  • Schedules vehicle inspections and ensures vehicles are ready for inspection.
  • Other duties as assigned
