The Role at a Glance
The Operations Specialist I - International coordinates international relocations, ensuring accurate pricing, vendor management, and compliance with regulations. The role involves booking freight, auditing invoices, maintaining shipment documentation, and communicating with global partners and internal teams to ensure service quality and profitability.
How You’ll Contribute
You will be responsible for managing the pricing and logistics of international relocations, while building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, carriers, and global partners. Acting as a key liaison, you’ll coordinate efforts between the Customer Experience Team, local operations, warehouse staff, U.S. agents, and overseas service providers to ensure each shipment is handled smoothly and in compliance with contractual and policy requirements.
Your duties will include preparing accurate, competitive rate quotations within deadlines, confirming services with transportation providers, and prioritizing the use of preferred vendors. You’ll oversee air and ocean freight bookings, manage consolidations, and handle all related documentation. Monitoring shipments for accuracy and profitability will be essential, along with auditing carrier invoices, managing file costs, and issuing payment instructions to support financial goals.
Close collaboration with the Customer Experience Team is crucial to keep them informed on shipment status and customs requirements. You’ll be responsible for updating internal systems, maintaining thorough records, and ensuring all documentation is completed promptly, contributing to seamless customer experiences throughout the move process.
Additionally, you’ll support team development by assisting in the training of new staff and participating in regular compliance audits to uphold company standards.
