Behavioral Health Specialist, Operations Specialist
Location: Washington, DC

Compensation:

The DHA Behavioral Health Specialist, Operations Specialist provides essential operations support for the Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) program. This role is responsible for maintaining document repositories, coordinating training sessions, supporting project execution, and facilitating communication across the Military Health System (MHS). The incumbent will assist in implementing, executing, and evaluating PCBH and Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) projects while ensuring efficient administrative support and coordination of internal and external workgroups.

Key Responsibilities:

Repository Management & Document Control:

  • Develop and maintain repositories (e.g., SharePoint, shared drives) for authoritative documents, training materials, and program-related resources.
  • Organize and update documentation to ensure accessibility and accuracy.

Training Coordination & Support:

  • Coordinate training sessions for Behavioral Health Consultants (BHCs), Behavioral Health Care Facilitators (BHCFs), and PCMH staff.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of training materials.
  • Maintain training completion trackers and rosters/contact lists for PCBH personnel and PCMH clinical pathways.
  • Verify training attendance and respond to related inquiries.

Project Coordination:

  • Assist with the implementation, execution, administration, and evaluation of PCBH and PCMH projects.
  • Support project planning and execution in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to timelines and deliverables by monitoring project progress and providing updates as needed.

Communication & Workgroup Coordination:

  • Schedule and facilitate meetings for internal and external workgroups.
  • Coordinate logistics and distribute meeting materials.
  • Communicate with personnel across the MHS to schedule trainings and address program-related inquiries.
  • Maintain availability via telephone to ensure timely responses and support.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in operations support, training coordination, or project management within a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and document management systems such as SharePoint.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Military Health System (MHS) operations and behavioral health programs is a plus.

Work Environment & Expectations:

  • Ability to work in an office setting with occasional travel, if required.
  • Must be reachable by telephone during business hours to support operational needs.
  • Adherence to all security and confidentiality protocols related to healthcare and military operations.
