Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree a plus.
• 1+ years in warehouse, lab operations, inventory, or logistics support.
• Ability to lift/move materials and operate standard equipment.
• Attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• On-site laboratory/operations environment with SOP adherence.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As an Operations Specialist, you’ll keep Hongene’s day-to-day on-site operations running smoothly — from receiving and tracking inventory to coordinating procurement, logistics , and facility vendors. You’ll be a hands-on presence across our laboratory and operations areas, helping make sure materials, equipment, and documentation stay accurate , organized, and compliant with our procedures.

You bring strong attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the flexibility to move between inventory counts, vendor coordination, and administrative documentation without missing a beat. Reliability and teamwork matter here — you’ll be counted on to show up, follow through, and help keep operations compliant and on schedule.

What You'll Do

On-Site Operations & Inventory Support

• Support daily on-site operational activities within the laboratory and operations areas.
• Receive incoming materials, verify accuracy, label as needed, and distribute to internal teams.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through physical counts, organization, and system updates.
• Support material movement, storage, and organization within designated areas.

Procurement & Logistics Support

• Assistwith purchasing and procurement of direct materials and operational supplies.
• Support domestic and internationallogisticsactivities, including shipment coordination and deliveries.
• Perform local pick-ups or drop-offs related to operational needs.
• Coordinate routine chemical waste disposal with licensed vendorsin accordance withcompany SOPs.
• Track and support preventive maintenance activities for laboratory and facility-related equipment.
• Communicate with external vendorsregardingscheduling, deliveries, and service follow-ups.

Administrative & Operational Tasks

• Complete required documentation related to inventory,logistics, and vendor services.
• Provide general operational support to the Operations Department as needed.
• Assistwithmaintainingorganized records and on-site operational documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent;Associatedegree a plus .
• 1+ years of experience in warehouse, laboratory operations, inventory, orlogisticssupport.
• Ability to safely lift and move materials andoperatestandard warehouse/operations equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping accuracy.
• Ability to work on-site in a laboratory/operations environment and follow established SOPs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience coordinating with outside vendors (e.g., waste disposal, facility maintenance,logisticscarriers).
• Familiarity with domestic and international shipment coordination.
• Experience with inventory management systems.
