With a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in administrative roles, you will collaborate on strategic position descriptions and coordinate communications across teams and external partners to advance mission objectives.

  • Experience in logistics or travel coordination is a plus.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support including calendar management, expense reporting, and travel logistics coordination.
  • Prepare professional presentations and documents; proofread for clarity and accuracy.
  • Aid in development of position descriptions for workforce planning and accountability.
  • Engage in verbal, phone, in-person, and electronic communications.
  • Collaborate on improvements and participate in change management aligned to organizational goals.
  • Other duties as assigned by Senior Director of Workforce Partnership and VP of Global Workforce Services.

Today, that vision is moving forward in powerful ways. Of the world’s roughly 7,400 spoken and signed languages, translation work is already underway in nearly 2,800. And while there are 514 known remaining languages still waiting for Bible translation to begin, each one represents an opportunity for you to serve with us as we see Scripture made available to all people!

As an Operations Specialist, you’ll use your skills to establish structure, support logistics, keep track of details and drive continuous improvement to help align our infrastructure. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in helping build a sustainable and responsible workforce that fuels the Bible translation movement

Together with the Senior Director and workgroup members, you’ll contribute to projects and resource initiatives that advance the mission. You’ll use your communication, problem solving and analytical skills to help ensure our workforce partnership systems reflect our organizational/team ethos, while remaining responsive to internal/external partners in efforts to attain greater missional effectiveness.

  • Execute tasks with a high degree of confidentiality and discretion, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
  • Provide administrative support, including calendar management, expense reporting, and travel logistics coordination.
  • Prepare professional presentations and other documents. Proofread and edit for clarity and accuracy.
  • Aid in the strategic development of position descriptions, a critical component of workforce planning and accountability.
  • Engage in verbal, phone, in-person, and electronic communication.
  • Exhibit action-oriented behavior, taking the initiative to complete assigned tasks and projects promptly.
  • Partner on the development and implementation of improvements.
  • Contribute to change management by maintaining order, stability and alignment to the organizational objectives and priorities.
  • Other duties as assigned by Senior Director of Workforce Partnership and Vice President of Global Workforce Services.
  • Other Requirements: Must have a strong reliable internet and phone connection. Ability and willingness to alter work schedules in order to work off-hours as needed across time zones.
  • Partnership Development: Build and retain a team of prayer and financial partners that will sustain them during their entire Wycliffe ministry according to the Wycliffe Partnership Development policy.

Compensation

Wycliffe Bible Translators is a faith-based organization, and as supported staff (missionary), you will receive a non-traditional salary (including benefits and ministry expenses) through the faithful giving of your personal partnership team. We provide extensive training and resources as you build your financial and prayer partnership team. Although salaries vary significantly and it's not possible to provide an exact number for this position, a typical non-traditional salary for a missionary household is $44,304 to $81,816 annually.
