Job summary

Via Mobility Services is seeking an Operations Specialist to keep field operations running smoothly. You will coach flex ride drivers, provide emergency support, and help resolve incidents with decisive problem solving. The role requires a valid driver's license, 21+ years old, and the ability to pass DOT medical, safety checks, and background reviews.

A strong customer focus and teamwork are essential. You will also perform inspections, document accidents, and communicate with the public about

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Valid driver’s license for at least the past two years.
• Driving experience with public transportation preferred.
• Strong supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Must pass DOT physical, random drug testing, and MVR checks.
• Meets Via and RTD hiring criteria.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing coaching to flex ride drivers in the field.
• Serve as emergency back-up and assist with accident response.
• Empty cash boxes and conduct field inspections regularly.
• Investigate passenger complaints and accidents; complete reports.
• Provide information to the public regarding transit operations.
• Operate all Flex Ride routes and functions; back-up driver as needed.

The Operations Specialist is responsible for emptying cash boxes, and conducting field inspections on a regular basis. This role will also complete investigations into passenger complaints and accidents and complete the needed accident reports.
