Consolidated Electrical Distributors in Burley, ID is seeking a highly organized Operations Specialist to support day-to-day operations across sales, warehouse and accounting. The role involves delivery driving, order picking, wire management, vendor returns, freight claims, shipping and receiving, inventory control, purchasing, and accounts payable/receivable backup.

Travel to other CED locations may occur during inventory.

Operations Specialist

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Operations Specialist to support day-to-day operations within our growing organization.

The successful candidate will receive training and hands on experience through the following daily activities of the job: delivery driving, order picking, wire cutting, wire management, vendor returns, freight claims, shipping, receiving, helping customers on the front counter, inventory management, purchasing, and a back up for accounts payable and receivable.

The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and motivated to improve processes while working in multiple departments.

This is a full-time, on-site position. Occasional travel to other CED locations will be required during inventory - one to four times a year.

REPORTS TO:

The Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Ability to learn and navigate multiple software platforms and business systems
• Valid driver's license

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move throughout an office, warehouse, and distribution environment
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 86 pounds
• Ability to spend time both at a desk and in operational areas of the business
• You will need to naturally be a high energy person to succeed in this role

COMPENSATION:

The compensation range for this position is $21.00 to $27.00 hourly

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Operational

• Work within counter sales, warehouse, purchasing, delivery, and accounting teams and ensure efficient execution of all assigned business processes.
• Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Inventory Management & Control

• Maintain and improve inventory accuracy across the warehouse.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes.
• Coordinate inventory reconciliation activities.
• Assist in managing inventory adjustments and reporting.
• Purchase inventory and maintain inventory integrity.

Customer Billing & Administrative Operations

• Be a back up for the following:
• Accounts payable and Accounts receivable.
• Review customer billing processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies.
